Waldorf Astoria Kuwait to open on Wednesday, August 24
The Waldorf Astoria Kuwait will open its doors on Wednesday, August 24. The hotel’s official website confirms the opening date, as did Jochem-Jan Sleiffer, the area president for Hilton in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey on his Instagram account. Waldorf Astoria Kuwait is connected to one of the country’s most luxurious shopping destinations, The Avenues. Hilton says it will have world-class dining outlets, adding a level of luxury as yet unseen in Kuwait City. Once open, Waldorf Astoria Kuwait will have 200 keys spread across rooms and suites offering views of the Kuwait City skyline. Other facilities include the 13,560 sq ft Waldorf Spa, a club lounge, MICE spaces and a grand ballroom. Earlier this year, the hotel’s general manager, Kemal Sirtikirmizi, said the Waldorf Astoria Kuwait has the potential to become the most iconic hotel in the city. He added: “We will become the number one, I’m so confident in that.”
