New Store Opening

Aesop 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝘃𝗶𝗮 Hamad International Airport 𝗔𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗽 has opened its first Travel Retail counter in the Middle East at Qatar's 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, a market entry that signals growing confidence in Gulf travel retail as a channel for premium beauty positioning, not just volume. The design choice is the strategic story here. Rather than deploying a standardized global concept, Aesop's in-house architecture team built the space around 𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲, materials read directly from Qatar's desert and coastal geography, It's a deliberate departure from the airport uniformity that typically defines travel retail, where footfall economics often push brands toward replicable, low-differentiation formats. For the category, this matters, As Gulf airports compete to be 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 in their own right, not just transit points, brands that localize design rather than import it stand to capture higher dwell-time engagement and brand recall among high-spending international travelers. Hamad International's selection as Aesop's regional entry point also reinforces Doha's position alongside Dubai as a serious, tier-one node in 𝗹𝘂𝘅𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹. Aesop

Opening at Mall of the Emirates

Aesop opens new store in Dubai at the Mall of Emirates

Aesop‘s very first outpost in Dubai, opened at The Dubai Mall only three years ago, has now closed its doors, but the Australian cosmetics brand continues its presence in the Middle Eastern tinseltown with a new boutique only a few blocks south. Situated on the second floor of Mall of the Emirates, the city’s leading luxury shopping centre, the new store occupies a modest unit which has been designed by the company’s in-house design team. The chosen aesthetic is inspired by a qubba, a dome structure often found in traditional Arabic architecture, and here, it’s translated into three of such structures which intersect overhead, crafted from cast stucco in a burnt ochre hue, while below, in stark contrast, a predominantly linear design can be found, captured by sleek brass shelving. The floor is covered in Quartz carpet in a matching colour, making the premises an almost monochromatic affair if weren’t for the oval travertine-clad sales counter and wall-mounted sinks. The new Aesop store carries the brand’s full range of skin, hair and body products, in addition to fragrances, home products and travel necessities.

Aesop

Opening at Dubai Mall

Aesop’s standalone store debuts in the UAE

Aesop is one brand that is long known for its high-quality products. With signature stores around the world, the brand has finally opened its first standalone store in the UAE at The Dubai Mall. The inaugural signature store in UAE has been designed by the company’s in-house Design Department with an understated yet ultramodern appeal. The restrained materiality—screed flooring; lacquered timber wall panels; aluminium shelving, counters and detailing—cloaks the interior in a monochromatic grey-blue palette. The shelves of the rear walls are covered in Vegetal leather which creates a muted, almost surrealistic atmosphere by absorbing external noise. The walls take a curvilinear form and have three zones defined by custom-made lamp suspended over each. The space also includes an alcove at the rear of the store; with a basin, point-of-sale and display shelving, offering a secluded space for consultations. The Melbourne based skin, hair and body care specialist’s formulations are created with meticulous attention to detail, and with efficacy and sensory pleasure in mind. Trained consultants at the store can help customers choose from a complete range of skin, hair and body care products, distinguished by botanical and laboratory-generated ingredients of the highest quality. In addition, the brand has also released a travel case, named after the cosmopolitan city of Dubai, which features a selection of Aesop’s favourites; suitable for all skin types. It includes the following travel-sized products from Aesop’s Hair, Body and Oral Care offerings in addition to staples from the Parsley Seed Skin Care range, presented in an elegant black microfibre amenity case. Classic Shampoo 50 mL Nurturing Conditioner 50 mL Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser 50 mL Geranium Leaf Body Balm 50 mL Parsley Seed Facial Cleanser 15 mL Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Facial Toner 15 mL Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Serum 15 mL Mouthwash 50 mL Toothpaste 10 mL The Dubai kit is ideal for urban-dwellers and travellers and is priced at AED 275.
