Al Dhafra Region Gets New Shopping Destination

LuLu Group has opened its latest retail destination—Al Dhafra Mall along with its LuLu Hypermarket, further consolidating its retail presence in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi. His Excellency Sultan Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Under Secretary of the Rulers’ Representative Court of Al Dhafra region, officially inaugurated the shopping mall and LuLu Hypermarket in the presence of Yusuff Ali M.A., Chairman and Managing Director of LuLu Group International. Also, present were many senior government officials, representatives from the local business community and a large number of citizens and residents. After the inauguration, Sultan Khalfan Al Rumaithi and other dignitaries toured various sections of the newly built mall and LuLu hypermarket and congratulated Yusuff Ali M.A. on the successful completion of the mall and also for providing a great family shopping destination to citizens and the residents in the western region of Al Dhafra. The new shopping destination “Al Dhafra Mall” will host a wide variety of retailers ranging from the top-of-the-line home grown retailers to international brands all under one roof with LuLu Hypermarket as anchor tenant. Designed with a brushstroke of innovation and excellence blended with culture, the mall presents the best of the both worlds, when it comes to ambiance and amenities and art and architecture. Spread across over 180,000 square feet of built up area, the mall will have more than 50 retail stores including restaurants, cafés and entertainment options for families and children. Featuring two spacious floors, the mall presents immense retail prospects. LuLu Hypermarket will cover an area of about 150,000 square feet to deliver a great retail therapy. In addition, the mall consists of exclusive amenities including internal and external parking for shoppers to augment their experience. Being the largest retail and leisure development and the region’s best retail destination, Al Dhafra Mall offers an eclectic mix of high street fashion brands, delightful dining experience, and fun-filled leisure and entertainment, and will cater to the residents of Madinat Zayed and its adjoining areas. Commenting on the occasion, Yusuff Ali M.A., said, “Now that we have already established ourselves firmly in the main business cities in various countries, our plan now is to branch out to other interior locations and suburbs of Abu Dhabi to take world-class shopping nearer to the people rather than make them travel to the bigger cities”. “Being an Abu Dhabi-based company, it’s our duty to cater to the needs of the people who are living in interior areas of the emirate and thereby contributing to the development of the economy. This is also a testimony to show to the world that Abu Dhabi is indeed an investor friendly destination,” Yusuff Ali M.A. added. “The Emirate is witnessing overall growth and prosperity in all the sectors under the visionary and wise leadership of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of UAE, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces, H.H. Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Rulers Representative of the Al Dhafra Region and we are greatly thankful to them for the support and cooperation being extended to us,” shared Yusuff Ali. The new mall is expected to become a significant player in the regions retail sector and a favourite shopping destination of the citizens and residents.
