AAW AND INTERSPORT DEBUT FIRST INTERSPORT STORE IN KUWAIT AT MUROUJ SAHARA

Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa Commercial Co. (AAW), the largest retailer of sports stores in Kuwait, today launched the first Intersport store in Kuwait, the latest location for the store’s global network of 5,500 stores in 44 countries. Intersport is the world’s leading sporting goods retailer, aiming to bring "Sport to the People" by providing top-of-the-line products in hardware, footwear, apparel, casual sportswear, swimwear, winter sports, outdoor equipment, fitness and wellness equipment and more to meet a variety of customers styles and sporting needs. The launch was carried live on on Al Gayla, Kuwait’s leading radio talk show, and MCed by popular Kuwaiti Instagram influencer Omar Alothman. The launch activities included a range of fun and engaging activities for customers, including group football hosted by Kuwait National Football Team player, Waleed Ali, workouts with Inspire Pure Fitness personal trainers, Abeer Alshatti and Essa Akba. Other activities also included custom athletic-themed photograph booths and corners, boxing, competitions and music from DJ Ali Taleb. Deputy CEO at AAW, Khaled F. AAW DEBUTS INTERNATIONAL SPORTING GOODS RETAILER INTERSPORT IN KUWAIT

Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa Commercial Co. (AAW), a leading distributor of athletic apparel and footwear in Kuwait, today announced the launch of global sporting products retailer Intersport Group’s Intersport flagship store in Kuwait at the exclusive Murouj Strip, the retail area at Sahara Resort. Intersport is the world’s leading sporting products retailer with more than 5,500 affiliated stores in 44 countries, adding Kuwait to its expansion strategy December 2015. In Focus: Intersport

I passed by Intersport at 360 Mall today. They’ve been open since 360 launched but I only went in a few days ago and really liked the place. The shop feels really cozy and calm because the place is still brand new and there isn’t that much foot traffic. I used to like GoSport when they first opened up but now it feels hectic and the way things are laid out reminds me of Costco Intersport is smaller than GoSport but still manages to have a bit of everything. They’ve got sport watches, workout dvd’s, bicycles, skateboards, camping and beach gear, gym equipment, clothes, sneakers, a football section etc.. in addition to a few items here and there you can’t find anywhere else. The staff is also pretty friendly which is always a plus. Note: I am organizing my categories and decided to create a new one called InFocus where I post about random places I find interesting or worth a visit.
